Boil your rice, and put in the yolks of 2 or 3 eggs into the Rice, and when it is boiled, put it into a dish(?) and season it with suger, cinamon and ginger and butter, and the juice of 2 or 3 oranges, and put it on the fire again.
Ingredients
1-1/2 c. | rice |
3 c. | water |
3 | egg yolks |
6 Tbs. | butter |
1 Tbs. | cinnamon |
1 tsp. | ginger |
1/4 c. | sugar |
Steps
- Boil rice in covered pot (til soft)
- Add butter
- Separate & beat egg yolks
- Add egg yolks stirring briskly
- Add other ingredients, blending
- Cook until thick.
Note
Suggestions - make sure rice is soft
-add more ginger
-more orange juice? orange peel?
-add cinnamon stick to boiling rice?
