Gaunceli for gees.
Take garlec and grinde it smale, safroun and flour therwith, & salt; temper it vp with cowe mylke, and seeth it wel, and serue it forth.

Ingredients

5large cloves of garlic, crushed
3 Tbs.flour
2 pinchsaffrom
salt to taste
1-1/2 c.milk

Steps

  1. Crushed 5 cloves of garlic, put this in a sauce pan with its milk & saffron (crushed in a mortar) with a bit of salt.
  2. Added flour 1 teaspoon at a time and cooked (boiled) gently, stirring continuously, & whisking until thickened. Corrected salt to taste. Serve warm.

Note

I think this is a nice easy sauce that could be used for a feast.
