Take garlec and grinde it smale, safroun and flour therwith, & salt; temper it vp with cowe mylke, and seeth it wel, and serue it forth.
Ingredients
5 | large cloves of garlic, crushed |
3 Tbs. | flour |
2 pinch | saffrom |
salt to taste | |
1-1/2 c. | milk |
Steps
- Crushed 5 cloves of garlic, put this in a sauce pan with its milk & saffron (crushed in a mortar) with a bit of salt.
- Added flour 1 teaspoon at a time and cooked (boiled) gently, stirring continuously, & whisking until thickened. Corrected salt to taste. Serve warm.
Note
I think this is a nice easy sauce that could be used for a feast.
