Take funges and pare hem clene and dyce hem; take leke and shrede hym small and do hym in seeþ in gode broth. Colour it with safroun, and do þerinne powdour fort.

Ingredients

1/2 lb.mushrooms (portabello)
1leek
14 oz.beef broth
saffron
poudre fort
salt

Steps

  1. Chop mushrooms and leeks.
  2. Bring broth to a boil, add saffron, poudre forte, and salt. Add mushrooms and leeks.
  3. Boil for ~10 min.
  4. Serve as soup.
