Take funges and pare hem clene and dyce hem, take leke and shred hym small and do hy to seep in gode broth, color it with safron and do y inne powdo fort.
Ingredients
2 c. | hot water |
1 | bouillon cube (onion) |
1 lb. | mushrooms |
3 | large leeks |
1/4 tsp. | saffron |
2 Tbs. | hot water |
1/8 tsp. | ginger |
up to 1/4 tsp. | pepper |
Steps
- Heat 2 cups of water, throw in a bouillon cube (onion).
- Cut up 1 lb. mushrooms and 3 large leeks and seethe them in the bouillon.
- Put about 1/4 tsp. saffron in 2 Tablespoons of HOT water and let it sit a few minutes until the water is bright yellow, then add this liquid to the pot along with 1/8 tsp. ginger and up to 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
- Simmer as long as you like.
Note
Try to get your saffron water strong enough to compete with the mushroom flavor - I used my saffron twice adding new water.
